Mrs. Christi Campbell

Mrs. Campbell is a two-time graduate of George Mason University where she began her career in education in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. After four years, she transitioned to Fairfax County Public Schools as a career center specialist and school counselor for 10 years at South Lakes High School. In 2012, she moved across the border to Loudoun County to open John Champe High School as the Director of School Counseling. While at Champe, she effectively led a data-driven school counseling program which was awarded the American School Counselor’s Association coveted RAMP award in 2014.

In 2020, Mrs. Campbell joined Dr. Hitchman at the administration building to begin working to open Lightridge High School. Opening one high school was a privilege, opening two was an absolute honor. She loves being a BOLt and working with the Lightning staff to bring innovative and new ideas to the educational environment.

When not working, she can be found with friends and family, usually somewhere on a beach with her toes in the sand. Her husband, who was also a school counselor, is now retired and can often be seen at Dulles Multipurpose Center. Her daughter is a graduate of Freedom High School and currently attends UNC Wilmington. Her son is a student at Freedom High School, active in guitar and tech for theatre. Walking and snuggling with her Maltipoo Miley is the absolute best form of effective stress relief!
