Ms. Jenn Schrader

Hello Lightridge Students & Families,

I have been a proud member of the BOLT family, serving as a school counselor, since our school opening in 2020. Prior to that, I was a school counselor at Freedom High School in South Riding, VA since 2013. I started this journey by obtaining my Bachelors degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice from Buffalo State College in my hometown of Buffalo, NY and then moving to Virginia to obtain my Masters of Education in School Counseling from George Mason University. In 2022, I obtained my Masters of Education in School Leadership from George Mason University and I am currently enrolled with Niagara University working toward my LPC.

I live in Aldie, Virginia with my family; I have two children (one girl & one boy) both attending LCPS schools, one in middle school and the other in elementary school. We are a very active family so you can usually find me on a sports field of some sort when I am not at work. We enjoy playing softball, football, basketball, riding bikes, roller blading or working out. I am a big time Buffalo Bills fan and the fall is my absolute favorite season, so if I am not wiring college recommendation letters, then I am watching football or outside enjoying the weather. We also love animals and we have one dog (Australian Shepherd) and 3 cats. 

I pride myself on the relationships that I build with my students and families and I hope to make that strong connection with each and every student that I work with. I have also been serving as the SCA sponsor for the last couple of years, which has increased my connection and dedication to this community even more.
