Mr. Bobby Eavenson, Jr.
The 2021 Football season will be Coach Eavenson’s 18th year coaching high school football in the Northern Virginia area, and his second as the Head Coach at Lightridge. Prior to becoming the Head Coach at Lightridge, he has coached Defensive Backs, Linebackers, and Wide Receivers as well as being a Defensive Coordinator for six years at the Division 6, Division 4, and Division 3 levels.
Coach Eavenson has prior experience in starting a new football program from when he served as the Defensive Coordinator at Riverside High School for their first three seasons, where their culture, win total, and program as a whole improved every year. His two seasons prior to starting the program at Lightridge were spent coaching Wide Receivers at John Champe High School. For the last six years Eavenson and has taught in Aldie as a Health and Physical Education Teacher, first at Mercer Middle School (three years), then at Willard Intermediate (two years), and last year at Lightridge.
In addition to being Lightridge’s Head Football Coach, Eavenson will also serve as a teacher in the Health and Physical Education Department as a a 10 Grade Health, PE, & Driver Education Teacher, and an Advanced PE Teacher. Coach Eavenson has a Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Physical Education, and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Kansas State University.
