Mrs. Telaya Dennis

Mrs. Dennis received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies from California State University, San Bernardino.  She also gained experience while attending the University of Hawaii at Manoa and Virginia State University through an exchange program. She received her teaching license from Shenandoah University. Mrs. Dennis has been teaching in the field of special education for 14 years in Loudoun County. She has developed a dynamic program called Bright Life Buddies and built community relationships through “Ignite The Love” and The Autism Community Day held in Loudoun County. Mrs. Dennis specializes in connecting and providing opportunities for ALL to have a meaningful life beyond the walls of the school. Mrs. Dennis is excited to be apart of the inaugural staff at Lightridge as the Transition Teacher. You may see her in action in the community partnering with businesses to provide opportunities for students to receive work experience and internships. You may also catch her working with students in small groups to provide trainings that will help them towards the next steps after high school. Mrs. Dennis continues to live by her quote  "Be loving and Kind."
