Mr. Michael Sheaffer

Michael Sheaffer is proud to be a charter staff member at Lightridge High School. Mr. Sheaffer is a Loudoun County native. He grew up in Sterling and currently lives in Lansdowne. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School for Science & Technology and then from the University of Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in physics. Later, he graduated with a master’s degree in secondary education from Old Dominion University. Mr. Sheaffer is licensed to teach physics, chemistry, math, and technology education. Prior to coming to Lightridge, Mr. Sheaffer taught for four years at Tuscarora High School in Leesburg.

For the 2023-24 school year, Mr. Sheaffer will teach Conceptual Physics, AP Physics, and Research Chemistry. Previously, he has also taught Honors Physics, Algebra 1, and AP Statistics.
