I have taught Latin in LCPS since 2014, first at Mercer Middle, then at Willard Intermediate and now at Lightridge.  Before becoming a teacher in 2014, I was an information technology specialist within the federal government for several years. I earned my Master of Arts in Classics, with a focus in Latin from the University of Maryland-College Park in 2012. In 2005, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Business Information Technology from Virginia Tech.

I believe Latin is for everyone and work to create a class where every student is welcome. I want my students to learn how to use Latin as a way to communicate. I want to work with my students to create a fun and engaging learning environment where we can explore and use the Latin language together. Latin is not dead in our class!
