Ms. Amy Trickett
Since 1998, Ms. Trickett has been devoted to teaching high school English. She became a part of the inaugural staff at Lightridge High School after having taught at Potomac Falls High School for eighteen years. She has taught for Virtual Loudoun and has served as a mentor for student interns and new teachers. Before moving to Virginia, she taught at East Burke High School in North Carolina. She sponsors the Lightridge Creative Writing Club.
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary English Education from West Virginia University and a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from George Mason University.
Ms. Trickett is an aspiring world traveler who enjoys hiking, baking, and practicing yoga. Her favorite band is Queen, and her favorite sports team is the WVU Mountaineers.
Ms. Trickett aims to inspire students to find the joy in reading and equip them with the ability to write and speak with confidence and independence.
