I'm very excited to begin my 25th year teaching, twenty years of which have been in Loudoun County.  This year I will be teaching World History I & II. Prior to making the switch to teaching, I spent ten years working in Washington, D.C. on the Hill as well as at The World Resources Institute.  I am working on my Ph.D in History and hold my Master's in History with a focus on Latin America in the 20th Century.  I earned my B.A. in Political Science with a minor in History. I attended graduate school at the University of Alabama and the University of Costa Rica.  I live with my husband and children in Haymarket, where I enjoy gardening, sewing, and traveling.
