Katharina Felts - Social Science Teacher
I was born and raised in a small town just outside of Richmond, Virginia. I attended Virginia Commonwealth University, the University of Alabama, the University of Costa Rica, and The George Washington University; earning both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Political Science and History. Prior to beginning my teaching career sixteen years ago, I worked for ten years in Washington, D.C., both on Capitol Hill, and in the non-profit sector. In both positions I focused on U.S. Foreign Policy, International Relations, and Environmental Issues. I am beyond excited to be part of the Phoenix faculty here at Rock Ridge High School.
I live in Haymarket, and have one daughter, Katie, who is a second year at the University of Virginia. When not teaching, or preparing to teach, I enjoy cooking, spending time with friends, travelling...and I shoot a pretty mean game of pool.
