Mrs. Bonnie Styles

Welcome to SEARCH!

My name is Mrs. Bonnie Styles and I've been a SEARCH teacher for 8 years now (7 of those at Sully).   Prior to that, I taught 5th grade for a long time, in Loudoun mostly, and for a couple of years in Fairfax county.  I'm also the SEARCH teacher for Ball's Bluff ES in Leesburg.

I have three of my own children.  My older son just graduated in 2020.   My daughter will be a Junior in high school this year, and my youngest is in 5th grade - all in LCPS schools.  I have three dogs (all chocolate Labrador retreivers) that bring a lot of joy to my life and I also enjoy gardening and making my yard look nice.

Teaching SEARCH allows me to share new, unusual, different kinds of things with students that they might not see during the regular school day.  We use a lot of manipulatives/materials, complete puzzles and games, learn new things, and put things we already know together in new ways.  SEARCH encourages students to think their own way and be creative.  I love to see students doing their best and discovering where their talents lie.
