This is both my first year at Park View and of teaching in general. Prior to becoming an educator, I worked as an attorney and spent most of my legal career at the U.S. Department of the Interior working on matters related to energy production and federal lands. Before that, I was a Foreign Service Officer with the Department of State, working both overseas and in Washington, DC.
I originally moved to Virginia in 1992, and my family and I have been in Ashburn since 2012. I was born and raised in Michigan, and earned undergraduate degrees in History and Political Science at the University of Michigan. I later received my law degree from Duke University and a Masters in International Public Policy from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
In my spare time I like to watch the San Francisco Giants, U of M football and Duke basketball with my son. I also enjoy reading history and watching Star Wars movies.
