Assistant Principal, River Bend Middle School
Eric Fritz has served as an assistant principal of River Bend Middle School in Sterling, Virginia since July 2014. For the past 14 years, he has worked in Loudoun County middle schools as an English teacher and administrator. Before working in education, he was a lecture agent representing celebrities for speaking engagements. As a educator, Eric has sought to find innovative ways to create connections between students, parents, teachers, businesses, and learning. He developed weekly parent communication bulletins that are now used in numerous middle schools. He has worked with teachers to create ways to apply learning so that it is engaging and meaningful to students. Eric has presented to numerous state and national associations including the Virginia Association of Supervision and Curriculum, the Virginia Middle School Association, and The National Forum to Accelerate Middle-Grades Reform. His writing has been published by the American Middle Level Education. In addition, he has been nominated at the VASSP Assistant Principal of the Year. Eric’s greatest passion is working with students to stimulate their intellectual curiosity and develop their competence and joy in learning.
