Mr. Powell

Hi, I am Ashburn's Instructional Facilitator of Technology, and I'm so excited to continue working with the incredible team at Ashburn Elementary!

I grew up in Maryland, but moved to Virginia while attending school at James Madison University. After college, I moved to Washington, DC and began a career in sports. I worked for the Washington Wizards and eventually started my own sports website. After meeting my future wife, Ashley (who is a teacher at Steuart Weller), I decided that a career in Education is what I needed in my life. I received his Master's Degree from Marymount University, and joined LCPS as a Fourth Grade teacher in 2015.

This will be my 4th year as an IFT, and I love everything about my job. Most importantly though, I truly love helping teachers and students reach their full potential.

I also have three children, Charlotte (8), Noah (6) and Olivia (3) and a yellow lab, Zooey.

I am thrilled to begin another fun year of learning and discovering with the Golden Dolphins!
