  • Meet Mrs. Walthour


    Michelle A. Walthour is the principal for Ashburn Elementary School. Mrs. Walthour holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with a concentration in Spanish from the State University of New York at Oswego and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from New York University. She has done additional course work at the University of Virginia. She has served as an assistant Principal at Sully Elementary School; as a fifth grade teacher at Ball’s Bluff Elementary; as a fourth and fifth grade teacher at Hampton Oaks Elementary in Stafford County; as a fifth grade teacher at Paul H. Cale Elementary in Charlottesville; as a first, third and sixth grade teacher at James K. Polk Elementary in Alexandria; and as a second, third, fifth and sixth grade teacher at Public School 251 in Brooklyn, N.Y.
     
    Mrs. Walthour is proud to be the principal of Ashburn Elementary.  She believes strongly in working with the community in a collaborative manner to bring real world experiences into the classroom.  She encourages parents to share their talents and expertise with students to enhance their classroom experience.
