The Independence High School Student Coucil Association (SCA) is responsible for planning and implementing a variety of school-wide activities that promote school spirit, allow Independence to make a mark on the larger community, and develop the leadership capacities of our student leaders.

The SCA is comprised of Officers, who are elected by the student body, and Executive Board Members, who are appointed by Independence High School faculty.

The Officers for the 2023-2024 school year are:

President: Brooke Schofield

Vice President, Operations: Kate Willis

Vice President, Outreach: Noah Peiken

Chief Information Officer: Sameera Harode

Chief Innovation Officer: J Upson.

SCA Officers and Executive Board members are students in the Community Service elective.

Applications to run for an Officer position or serve on the Executive Board for the 2024-2025 school year will be available in January 2024.
