The Independence High School Student Coucil Association (SCA) is responsible for planning and implementing a variety of school-wide activities that promote school spirit, allow Independence to make a mark on the larger community, and develop the leadership capacities of our student leaders.
The SCA is comprised of Officers, who are elected by the student body, and Executive Board Members, who are appointed by Independence High School faculty.
The Officers for the 2019-2020 school year are:
President: Ainsley Hathaway
Vice President, Operations: Sam Cooper
Vice President, Outreach: Ellie Young
Chief Information Officer: Allison Medina
Chief Innovation Officer: Aaliyah Zagade.
SCA Officers and Executive Board members are students in Project Management, a Career & Technical Education course that earns them an elective credit.
Applications for the 2020-2021 SCA Executive Board and to run for SCA Office will be available starting in January 2020.
