Mrs. Amy Damele

Hello Students and Parents,

This is my second year at Trailside Middle School, and I love being part of the Trailside Pack! 

I am originally from Ohio where I graduated from Wittenberg University with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education.  I coached collegiate volleyball for several years before focusing my goals on serving and advocating for others in the social services field.  I received my Master’s in Social Work from Rutgers University.  Since then, I have worked with community mental health agencies, focusing on individual and group therapy, family systems, substance abuse treatment, and case management. 

Being a military family (Air Force), we moved from Florida to Loudoun County two years ago and have enjoyed exploring and getting to know the area.  In my free time, I love spending time with my son and husband, traveling, playing and watching sports (Go Buckeyes!), and visiting family and friends. 

I look forward to getting to know students and families throughout the school year.  My goals this year are to support the social-emotional/behavioral health of all students and to act as a link between school, student, family and community.  Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have.
