At Sterling Middle School, we want our students to be responsible digital citizens. We use the Common Sense Digital Citizenship program to help students become aware of the opportunities and pitfalls of using media. This allows our students to pursue their learning in an environment they understand and prepares them to reach out to others in an ethical and safe way. This also provides opportunities for authentic learning and global connections.
Parent involvement is very important. Setting consistent expectations at home and at school can provide a great foundation for student digital citizenship. Please take advantage of the provided resources to discuss technology expectations for home and school.
