• Ms. Ives’s experience in education began in 1988 and includes both independent and public schools. She has taught social studies, math, and English. English has been a constant in her teaching career since 1990. Her Bachelor of Arts in English is from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She earned a Masters in Curriculum and Supervision from Vanderbilt University in 1993. 
     
    Ms. Ives has been teaching English at Loudoun County High School since August 1999. Over the years she has taught all grades and all levels.

      Students absent for extended illness/flu will be given make-up work upon return to the classroom. They may also check the daily plans and homework page for information and handouts from the classes they missed.  Make-up due dates will be discussed with student upon return.   Sufficient time will be given for make-up work.  If you are going to be absent for an extended period, please e-mail me and let me know!
