FHR coninutes to actively support the county wide Bring Your Own Technology (BYOT)initiative for grades 2 through 5.  With this in mind, we are preparing our students to become safer users of the internet through the use of the Common Sense Media Digital Citizenship program.

All students in grades 3 through 5 will take part in 3 lessons focusing on how to become good digital citizens.  These lessons focus on areas such as creating safe passwords and usernames, cyber bullying, copy write issues and online safety.

Through these activities, our students will learn how to make good choices while using the powerful resources on the internet that are now available to them.  However, this is a community effort and we hope that you will reinforce the lessons learned at school while using the internet at home.

More information about Common Sense Media and the Digital Citizenship program can be found at the Common Sense Media website
