WELCOME TO THE 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR

 It is such a pleasure and honor to continue to be the School Based Instructional Facilitator at Potowmack Elementary School.  I am so fortunate and thrilled to be a part of an energetic community, and I am looking forward to an amazing school year! 

This is my 21st year as an educator and I bring a vast amount of teaching and leadership experience to Potowmack.  My first five years of teaching included being an inclusive special education teacher at the elementary and middle school levels.  Then I became a general education teacher working in fifth and first grades. Next, I was the Administrative Intern at Steuart Weller Elementary School and the summer school principal at Meadowland in 2012 and Forest Grove in 2013.  Previously, I was the Assistant Principal at Forest Grove, and served in that position for five years.

I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Education in Special Education-Learning Disability.   As of August 2012, I completed my Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in Special Education from Regent University. 

As the School Based Instructional Facilitator, I am looking forward to assisting Mr. Hayden and Mrs. Haidari in promoting future leaders through an equitable and rigorous school environment.  It is our mission to provide opportunities for students to discover new and innovative ideas through concrete learning experiences. At Potowmack, students are critical thinkers, collaborators, creators, communicators, and contributors so they can reach their full potential and achieve their dreams.
