Michael Broome Special Education//Math Department
This is my eighth year of teaching and my fifth year with LCPS. My wife and I have two daughters, Guinevere, 3, and Gracelyn, 16 months old. In June 2018, we moved to Northern Virginia from San Antonio, Texas, where I taught at a Title I middle school. I am teaching Geometry and FADA this year. I have traveled to 26 countries and 35 states in my 33 years of life thus far. I have lived in Germany, The Netherlands, and Okinawa, Japan, as a military brat. My family is originally from Georgia, and I am a fan of all things Georgia except Georgia Tech. Go Dawgs! I graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a teaching license in EC-12 Special Education and EC-12 English as a Second Language. I am pursuing my Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy after completing my Master's Degree at George Mason this May.
