Mrs. Jennifer Gardner

Biomedical Technology I and II

Jennifer started the Biomedical Technology program at the Academies of Loudoun after teaching research and advanced placement (AP) biology at Loudoun Valley High School.  Prior to teaching, she worked for Merck and Company pharmaceuticals. There she was a member of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineers, and an officer in the Southeastern Barrier Isolation Technology Group.  She worked in both Quality and Technical Operations with parenteral antibiotics, sterility testing, and validation.  She helped to set up a new microbiology lab and carried out validation testing at Merck's Buenos Aires, Argentina facility. She is thrilled to be combining her love of science and passion for teaching in her position at the Academies of Loudoun.

Her daughter is a graduate of Woodgrove High School and Georgetown University, and her son is a senior at Woodgrove. Jennifer resides in Loudoun County with her husband, children, dogs, and too many chickens!
