Biomedical Technology I
Jennifer comes to the Acadmies of Loudoun from Loudoun Valley High School where she taught research biology and advanced placement (AP) biology. Prior to teaching, she worked for Merck and Company pharmaceuticals. There she was a member of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineers, and an officer in the Southeastern Barrior Isolation Technology Group. She worked in both Quality and Technical Operations with parenteral antibiotics, sterility testing, and validation. She helped to set up a new microbiology lab and carried out validation testing at Merck's Buenos Aires, Argentina facility. She is thrilled to be combining her love of science and passion for teaching in her position at the Academies of Loudoun.
Her daughter, a recent graduate of Woodgrove High School, is attending Georgetown University, and her son is a freshman at Woodgrove. She resides in Loudoun County with her husband, children, a dog, and too many chickens!
