Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. (Cheryl) Lynne Lease
I am an Instructional Specialist starting my 25th year teaching in Loudoun County. I have a Bachelor of Science from Frostburg State University and a Masters in Special Education from Johns Hopkins University. Prior to moving to Loudoun County, I worked as a mental health counselor, teacher assistant, and special education teacher at the Regional Institute for Children and Adolescents in Rockville, Maryland.
For my first 3 years in Loudoun County, I worked with emotionally disabled students in a self contained elementary setting. My next 20 years were at Farmwell Station Middle School where I taught self contained math, social studies, and science. Then I worked as an inclusion teacher before becoming the Special Education Department Chair.
I decided to make a change last year and worked as a learning specialist and designee at Frederick Douglass Elementary School. It was a great experience but I decided that middle school students have a special place in my heart.
I am so excited to be a part of the Brambleton staff and working with middle school students again. I will be staffing the School Within A School Program.
In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, going to the beach & lake, and watching football with my family. Go Washington Redskins and James Madison Dukes.
