Sra. Altuzarra Spanish 1 Back to School Night Attendance Log

My name is Angelizabeth Altuzarra. I have worked as a Spanish teacher with LCPS since 2007. Previously, I worked with Puerto Rico's Department of education teaching Spanish as a first language. That means that I almost have the same amount of years teaching Spanish as a Second language and Spanish as a first language. I worked at a high school level for 10 years and 12 at a middle school level. I believe that education should be tailored according to students needs and age. I have a Bachelor Degree in Education in Spanish, 12 graduate credits in Curriculum and teaching and more than 30 graduate credits toward a Master in Education in TESOL plus other post-degree credits in Spanish. I'm a native Spanish speaker. I'm able to teach all levels of Spanish as a first or second language. I like founding the design of my classes in brain-based learning, multiple intelligences, problem-based learning, and project-based learning. Please, go over my page and read and sign the syllabus and review the curriculum documents so that you can be aware of practices, class expectations, materials needed for class, and topics to be covered. Also, check the calendar to be aware of future evaluations and important dates and complete the surveys that will appear on the page during the year so that we can offer a better learning experience to your children. Be aware that this year we will conduct educational research at the classroom with the purpose of developing better practices and methods for language acquisition and/or other educational topics. If more information or guidance is needed don't hesitate to contact me at I will be really happy to help you.
