Mr. Derek Forster
Mr. Forster joins us from the great state of Pennsylvania. He graduated from Messiah College in 2010 with a Bachelor's in Psychology and a minor in counseling. Derek was a member of Messiah's NCAA men's swim team and served a captain for two years. Additionally, he competed on Messiah's Men's Club Volleyball team, winning the Division-II National Championship in 2008.
In 2012, Mr. Forster moved to Arlington, VA where he earned his Master's in Cousneling from Marymount University and graduated with honors. While in school, he served as a Residence Director at Marymount, and interned at Langley High School. Upon graduation, Mr. Forster passed the National Counselor Exam and became a Nationally Certified Counselor.
Mr. Forster joins us at Belmont Ridge after spending the last 5 years at John Champe HS where he served as an assistant coach for the girl's volleyball team. He is an avid fan of all Philadelphia sports teams, Penn State football, and plays as much volleyball as he can in his free time. Ice cream is his favorite food, and he hopes to one day own his own ice cream store.
