• Hello!

    Hitting the books!

  • Hello and welcome to Ms. Dongieux’s class page for the 2019 - 2020 school year! This is Ms. Dongieux’s second year at Smart’s Mill doing 6th grade ELA and reading. Her first year was spent as an instructional assistant and she is so excited to be team teaching as well as doing self-contained classes this year. She is a Loudoun County native and graduated from Loudoun Valley High School in 2013. Ms. Dongieux graduated with her BA in Sociology from the University of Mary Washington (It’s always a great day to be an eagle!) in 2017 and is working on receiving her MA in Special Education from George Mason University.

In her free time, Ms. Dongieux enjoys working out, running, hanging out with her 2 bunnies Ace and Peter Piper, as well as going to concerts and traveling with her friends.  Ms. Dongieux is excited to be a part of the Maverick family and can’t wait to get to know the students and families that make up such a great school community! And just in case her last name is a bit confusing, Dongieux is pronounced "dawn-ju".
