Dr. Lynsey Riley

This is my fourth year in Loudoun County Public Schools, and my first year at Blue Ridge Middle School. I am very excited to be a Blue Ridge Bulldog! As your school psychologist, I provide group and individual counseling to students, consult with teachers and parents about student behavior and social-emotional concerns, and serve on a number of problem-solving teams to support student success. I also conduct psychological evaluations to help determine special education eligibility.

As a member of Blue Ridge's Unified Mental Health Team, I partner with the school social worker, counselors and administrators to develop prevention and early intervention programming to support all students' mental health and wellness. This work takes the form of classroom lessons, parent coffees and school-wide programs such as Sources of Strength and Safe School Ambassadors. I am very excited to be co-leading the Sources of Strength club this year!

After graduating from Georgetown University, I worked in textbook publishing for several years before switching careers and earning my Ph.D. in School Psychology from University of Maryland College Park. Please reach out to me if you have any questions about my work or would like to discuss your child.
