Dr. Lynsey Riley
2021-22 will be my sixth year in Loudoun County Public Schools, and my third year at Blue Ridge Middle School. I am proud to be a member of the Blue Ridge team, where "What You Do Matters!" As your school psychologist, I provide group and individual counseling to students, consult with teachers and parents about student behavior and social-emotional concerns, and serve on a number of problem-solving teams to support student success. I also conduct psychological evaluations to help determine special education eligibility.
As a member of Blue Ridge's Unified Mental Health Team (UMHT), I partner with the counselors, administrators, school social worker and student assistance specialist to develop prevention and early intervention programming to support all students' mental health and wellness. This work takes the form of classroom lessons, parent coffees and school-wide programs such as Sources of Strength. I am very excited to continue supporting the Sources of Strength club as one of its Lead Adult Advisors! After graduating from Georgetown University, I worked in textbook publishing for several years before switching careers and earning my Ph.D. in School Psychology from University of Maryland College Park. Please reach out to me if you have any questions about my work or would like to discuss your child.
