Ms. Jennifer Zecher
My name is Jennifer Zecher and I am very excited to be the new assistant principal at Cardinal Ridge Elementary School this year. For the past seven years, I have been the assistant principal at Countryside Elementary School. This will be my 22nd year in education and my 20th year in Loudoun County Public Schools. Before becoming an assistant principal, I was an administrative intern at Balls’ Bluff Elementary School and Steuart W. Weller Elementary School. For ten years, I was a high school social science teacher and Varsity Boys Tennis Coach at Park View High School.
I am originally from New York and earned a B.A. in History from Binghamton University. While studying at Binghamton, I played on the women’s tennis team. I have received two masters’ degrees: one in Secondary Education from the College of William and Mary and another from George Mason University in Educational Leadership (Administration and Supervision). Currently, I am pursuing a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership and Administration at George Washington University. In my spare time, I play saxophone for the Loudoun Symphonic Winds. I also love spending time with family, visiting historic places and reading books.
I am very excited about the 2019-20 school year! I believe that communication is the key to a great parent-school relationship. I look forward to getting to know the Cardinal Ridge community! I encourage you to contact me with any questions or concerns. Please contact me at Jennifer.Zecher@lcps.org or 571-367-4020.
