Degrees and Certifications:
Hello! Welcome to Miss Turner’s Class!
I graduated from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania with my bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education. This will be my second year teaching 3rd grade at Cool Spring Elementary and I am thrilled to be back again this year.
I am originally from Lock Haven, Pennsylvania but my family is currently living outside of Boston, Massachusetts! I have lived in Virginia for the past year and I recently moved to Herndon! I have two younger brothers and one older sister. I also have a black lab puppy named Pippa, she keeps me pretty busy and loves to play. My favorite things include watching movies, eating anything sweet, loving on dogs, traveling, and being with other people. I am very outgoing and loved to be involved!
My Teaching Philosophy:
I am so passionate about teaching and I am thrilled to have your child this year in my class! My goal is to create a safe, engaging, welcoming learning environment for my students to be able to express themselves and learn to their best abilities. I wholeheartedly believe that each student is unique in their own way and learns differently from others. By knowing this I am committed to differentiating my lessons to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of all of my students. I want to help my students to love learning as much as I love teaching. I am a life-long learning and I can’t wait to learn from my students each day.
I look forward to meeting my students and their families and working together to make this year the best year ever!
