Greetings Trailside Families!

I am so excited to be at Trailside this year, working with our EL students.

I graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Social Work, but quickly changed direction and spent many years working as a Paralegal.  When our family moved to Tokyo a few years later, I spent time teaching English at a Japanese high school, where I realized my love for teaching and working with people from various cultures.  We spent time living in London and Tel Aviv, where I worked as a Community Liaison Officer, before finding our way back to the States in 2017. Upon reentry, I realized that the job I loved most was teaching, and so earned my teaching license through Shenandoah University.  I’m thrilled that journey brought me here to Trailside.

When not at school, I love spending time outdoors with my family.  I love to cook and am an avid reader -- if you have any recommendations, bring them to me!  My greatest love is travel, and I try to get out into the world as often as possible. We have been fortunate enough to visit well over 20 countries, and counting.  I have a long, long list of places I would like to see and hope to check them all off, one by one.

Middle school is the best!  Working with middle school students brings me great joy, and I can’t wait to spend the school year seeing our students grow.  Go Timberwolves!
