My name is Susan Hite and I am so excited to be joining the team here at J. Michael Lunsford.  This will be my tenth year working in Loudoun County, my seventh year teaching and my first year teaching 6th grade English.  I grew up in Williamsburg, Virginia and have been a Virginian most of my life with the exception of a few years spent in Connecticut.  I received a Bachelor’s degree from Christopher Newport University and a Master’s degree in Special Education at George Mason University.

When I’m not working, I enjoy cooking, reading, hanging out with family and friends and watching football.   My favorite way to pass the time is sitting on the beach reading a good book. The Outer Banks is one of my favorite summer spots.  I hope to one day retire there where I can watch the sun set while the sand tickles my toes.    I enjoy going to Captials, Nationals or Redskins games and you will find me rocking the "red" of our DC teams whenever possible.

I was married in May 2017 and live with my husband Jerry in Aldie.  Between us, we have a dog (Rico) and four teenagers (3 girls and 1 boy)!  Sydney will be a Junior at James Madison this fall.  Erin and Sarah will both be college Frehsman (Erin at the University of Tennessee and Sarah at George Mason) while Josh will be a 10th grader at John Champe High School.

I look forward to a great year!
