Mrs. Kristin Weaver

Mrs. Weaver has been an English and transition teacher in Loudoun County for fifteen years, teaching at Stone Bridge High School (2005-2014) and the Loudoun County Juvenile Detention Center (2014-2019) prior to joining the Douglass School staff in 2019.   She has been teaching English at the college level since 1997, teaching dual enrollment courses in Loudoun County through Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) (2014-2019) as well as at Eastern Michigan University, Shepherd University, Blue Ridge Community and Technical College, Axia College, and the University of Phoenix.  In addition, she was lead teacher at Harpers Ferry Job Corps Center where she taught reading, math, social studies, and social skills.  She earned both undergraduate and graduate degrees from Eastern Michigan University.

In 2014, Mrs. Weaver earned her National Board certification in Adolescent and Young Adult English and Language Arts.  She was also included on the Loudoun 100 list of honorees for 2018-2019.  Feel free to watch her Loudoun 100 video here.  Read the article about her on the Loudoun Now website.
