About Mr. Whitacre:
Mr. Whitacre is new to the Falcon flock, but comes from generations of educators. Growing up in Loudoun County, Mr. Whitacre hiked battlefields from Sayler's Creek to Gettysburg. He attended Loudoun County High School where he was active in drumline. Mr. Whitacre attained his B.A. from Longwood University focusing on historiography, rhetoric, and military history. Recently he graduated from Shenandoah University with his MSEd.
History is the foundation of humanity. Mr. Whitacre focuses on enabling students with choice, developing their voice, and taking a critical eye to the happenings of the world around them. Through simulations, Mr. Whitacre uses an empathic teaching style to engage students with a variety of lenses when approaching historical topics.
