Ms. Bridwell was born and reared in small New England towns prior to her high school years when she moved to Boulder, Colorado. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Kansas State University. K-State is the home of the Wildcats and Purple Pride!
Ms. Bridwell's teaching career began in 1994 in a small community in Bennett, Colorado. During her seven years of teaching in Colorado, she earned her Master’s in Curriculum & Instruction – in literacy from the University of Colorado at Denver. She also earned National Board Certification while teaching in Colorado. She renewed her National Board Certification in 2008 and again in 2018.Though the Colorado mountains are beautiful, Ms. Bridwell missed the lush trees and ocean that she grew up around. She decided that it was time to move back East. She moved to Sterling in 2001 to teach in Loudoun County.
While teaching 5th grade Loudoun County, Ms. Bridwell earned her endorsement in gifted education from the University of Virginia. In 2015, she earned her Master's in Educational Leadership from George Mason University. This is her nineteenth year in Loudoun County and her twenty-sixth year of teaching.
She is delighted to be teaching SPECTRUM at Farmwell Station Middle School this year!
