Mrs. Jennifer Melnikoff

My name is Jennifer Melnikoff, and I am excited to be teaching kindergarten at Discovery Elementary. I am originally from Pennsylvania but have lived in Virginia for the past 21 years. This is my 18th year of teaching. I have previously taught first, fourth, and fifth grades. I earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Pittsburgh, a Master's degree in Educational Leadership, and an Education Specialist's degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, both from Walden University. My husband, Ken, and I have three children. My oldest son, Koen, is seventeen, my daughter, Laken, is fifteen, and my youngest son, Ian, is thirteen. We also have two English bulldogs, Effie and Ella, that we adore. I believe in fostering a life-long love of learning while providing instruction in a safe, supportive environment that leaves each child feeling cared for and valued. I look forward to an outstanding school year!
