Mrs. Jennifer Melnikoff

My name is Jennifer Melnikoff and I am excited to teach kindergarten at Discovery Elementary. I am originally from Pennsylvania but have lived in Virginia for the past 23 years. This is my 20th year of teaching. I have previously taught first, fourth, and fifth grades. I earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Pittsburgh, a Master's degree in Educational Leadership, and an Education Specialist's degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, both from Walden University. My husband, Ken, and I have four children; Emily, Koen, Laken, and Ian. We also have two English bulldogs, Effie and Ella, that we adore. I believe in fostering a life-long love of learning while providing instruction in a safe, supportive environment that leaves each child feeling cared for and valued. I look forward to an outstanding school year!
