Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Patricia Smith
Welcome to the wonderful world of mathematics!! Our goal this year is to develop a strong classroom community that promotes student ownership of learning through mathematical risk-taking. Together we must exemplify resilience and a growth mindset, believing that ALL students can learn mathematics.
I began teaching in Loudoun County almost 25 years ago, where I taught Middle School Math for many years before having my four children. After a long break from full-time teaching, I was eager to return to the classroom. I hold a bachelor's degree with a major in Mathematics and a minor in Elementary Education NK-8 from Longwood University. I look forward to learning and growing with each of you.
I currently live in Round Hill. I have 4 amazing children. Two boys and two girls. Three are Woodgrove graduates and my youngest, Jordan, is in 7th grade at Harmony.
Please understand that during the school day, I am actively working with students and may not be able to respond immediately. However, I will respond within 36 hours to emails. If you have a time-sensitive message, please call Harmony at (540) 751-2500. The secretaries will make sure that I get the message.
Schoology is our online classroom where you will find all course materials. Phoenix (ParentVUE/StudentVUE) is the official LCPS gradebook and is the place to access your child's graded assignments for each quarter.
