    mustang Amy E.C. Wilfong
    Gifted Resource Teacher / Spectrum

I grew up in Winchester and graduated from John Handley High School. I then attended the University of Virginia and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and Archaeology, and went on to earn my teaching certification and a Master of Science in Education degree from Radford University. I received my K-12 Gifted license endorsement from James Madison University.
This is my 11th year teaching Spectrum at JLSMS.
My professional interests are many and varied, but I'm particularly interested in gifted multidisciplinary curricula and assessment, equity, and more abstract concepts like the connections between giftedness and altruism.

I commute from Winchester where I live with my husband, three sons, two dogs, two cats, and nineteen chickens.
