  • Mission Statement 

     Our mission is to support the LCPS educational mission of "Empowering all students to make meaningful contributions to the world" by providing high-quality facilities, and safe transportation for the students and staff of Loudoun County Public Schools. 

    Department Overview 

     The Department of Support Services comprises the divisions that oversee Construction Services, Facilities Services, Management and Coordination, Planning Services, and Transportation Services. The Department supports the learning environment by providing high-quality, safe, comfortable, well-maintained educational facilities and grounds; and safe student transportation. All aspects of the school system – physical plant, classroom furnishings, and the materials utilized in maintaining our facilities, are provided with the desire to be most efficient and effective.  As stewards of the public trust, we also pride ourselves on our sustainability and energy conservation efforts as part of our culture in Loudoun County Public Schools.

    Providing timely, responsive, and professional support to our students, teachers, staff, and community is our department's goal and one of our core values.

     The Department of Support Services maintains 92 schools and nine support facilities for a total building area of approximately 12 million square feet and more than 3250 acres of campus along with student enrollment growth expected to continue in Loudoun County.
