Hello Round Hill Families,
I am excited to begin this school year with you and serve as your Assistant Principal. The 2019-2020 school year will be my 14th in public education and my seventh in Loudoun County.
Teaching and learning is my main passion but so is writing! I graduated from Florida A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and worked as a newspaper reporter.
I brought my love of writing into Clarke County Public Schools, where I began my career as an educator teaching third-grade.
Then, I moved over to Loudoun to teach second and third grades at Middleburg Elementary and then at Newton-Lee Elementary.
I made the leap to administration when I became Elementary Dean at Newton Lee. I served in this position for two years. Additionally, I recently earned a master’s degree in Education Administration from Shenandoah University.
I hail from Florida, so it’s no surprise that I love hot weather and I’m known for my “ray of sunshine” personality.
When I’m not working, I fill my time with positive people and activities. You can find me hiking with Dash, my black lab, reading, dancing, or spending time with friends, just to name a few.
I am excited to be a Bear and look forward to continuing the mission of this great school: Prepare and Empower Learners for Today and Tomorrow.
Ms. Daneesha Davis
