Welcome to 3rd Grade!

My name is Sara Gable and I am so excited to be teaching at Countryside for the second year! This will be my eighth year teaching and first year in third grade. I previously taught Kindergarten for five years and first grade for one year and second grade for one year. I have taught in Frederick, MD and this will be my fifth year teaching in LCPS. I feel very fortunate to have taught K-2 and believe it'll help my transition into teaching 3rd grade. I've wanted to teach 3rd grade since I was in 3rd grade myself, so I'm very excited for this school year!

I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education/Early Childhood Education from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania back in 2011. I also received my EL endorsement in 2019 and am a certified EL teacher!

In my free time I enjoy reading, arts & crafts, cooking/baking, and anything that happens during the Fall season! I will also be planning my wedding this year which will keep me busy when I'm not teaching! 

I can’t wait to be your child’s teacher! Even with distance learning, it is my ultimate goal and committment to help your child reach their full potential. I am a firm believer in the positive outcome of effective parent-teacher communication, so please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions/concerns!
