  • Hello and Welcome!

John Champe High School currently has several teams for VHSL registered eSports: League of Legends, Rocket League, and Super Bros. Ultimate Smash (Nintendo Switch). John Champe also has a Splatoon 2 team which plays for the Eastern Region (New Jersey down to Florida). The main communication for the club and for the teams happens on our Schoology Page.

Esports were approved by the VHSL Executive Committee as an emerging activity for potential sanctioning of esports as an official Activity for the League (Anticipated 2022-2023). PlayVS is the official esports partner of the National Federation of State High School Associations, and works with several other state associations to provide esports programming for their students (VHSL).

Students register to play directly onto the PlayVS website. All games are organized through the platform and scheduled ahead of time. Our teams are categorized into States and Regionals; Knights play State and Shields play Regionals. Parents can find more information at this link (PlayVS).
