Mrs. Jessica Cavalier

Mrs. Cavalier has been working with secondary students for 19 years. She has a bachelors degree in English education from East Tennessee State University, her masters as a reading specialist from Shenandoah University, and is currently a doctoral candidate working on her dissertation for a degree in Educational Leadership from Shenandoah University. Her research interest is in collaborative work. She is a teacher-consultant with the Shenandoah Valley Writing Project and is so excited to read and write with her students this year! She offers reading and writing assessment and intervention to students and works as a disciplinary literacy coach across content areas.

When she is not teaching, she is spending time with her girls, Rosemary (9th grade) and Olivia (6th grade), her two puppies, Coconut and Maya, and her very patient husband, Mr. Cavalier, who's also an educator.
