About Mrs Arnold:

Alice Arnold will begin her 10th year teaching Social Sciences in Loudoun County (8th year at Belmont).  She is originally from Long Island, NY, and has lived in Virginia since 2002 with her husband Ben. Mrs. Arnold is a graduate from Indiana University, earning a B.A. in History and Journalism. While attending Indiana, she was a member of the women's varsity rowing team. Before becoming a teacher, she spent a few years working in sports television in New York. In 2005, she earned her Masters in Teaching in Social Sciences from the University of Virginia. Mrs Arnold has two awesome kids - Jonas (10) & Eleanor (7) and a Cavapoo puppy named Archie.  In her limited spare time, she likes swimming, reading books, watching television/movies, traveling, coaching her daughter's softball team and hanging with her family. She enjoys being both a Hoosier & a Wahoo.

 

In Civics & Economics this year, students will be learning the fundamentals of government processes, economics, and being an engaged and active 21st century citizen.
