    • Congratulations to Edward Lee who will compete in as a semi-finalist in the BioOlympiad. Edward scored in the top 10% of all participants in the US on the open exam. Wish Edward luck as he takes the semi-final exam on Friday March 22.

    • eTelligent Group will be here on March 21st and 22nd in the auditorium during lunch to discuss internship opportunities. ETelligent group is offering two internship tracks: one for IT and one for business, graphics, and marketing.

    • Attention Students, as the weather continues to improve administration would like to let you know the proper use of our outdoor area during lunch. During lunch, students are allowed to eat outside under the terrace directly outside the dining commons. Students may also use the large field adjacent to the building but should not go near the wooded areas or retention pond. Students ARE NOT permitted in any other outdoor area or able to leave school grounds during lunch. As always please make sure you clean up after yourself and others to keep our school clean.

    • Do you want to apply your knowledge in finding solutions, collaboratively, to real-life issues around you? If so, join the “ACL Science Association” Club. The first meeting will be on Wednesday, March 27 during lunch in the blue collaborative area across from Room 1316.

    • Attention students who took the AMC 10 or 12: Your results are in! Please see Mrs. Hallman in the Administrative Suite to receive your test, score report, and certificate and to complete a brief survey.

    • The RESET club will meet Wednesday, March 20, at lunch in room 2407. Learn to share your passion for STEM by presenting interactive science demonstrations to elementary and middle school students. All ACL students are welcome to join.

    • Congrats to team RoboLoCo who competed in the FIRST Chesapeake Owings MIlls competition this past weekend at The McDonogh School. Our team finished 5th during the qualifiers and their alliance went on to the semi-finals. Due to their performance in the last two district competitions they will be invited to compete in the FIRST Chesapeake District Championships on April 4th to 6th at Eagle Bank Arena at George Mason University.

    • As the weather begin to warm, a quick reminder to students regarding the school's dress code and wearing appropriate attire to school. Please note that several programs within the Academies of Loudoun have more stringent dress requirements that are related to safety.

Prizes will be given out at the end of the event to the top 3 places! Final date to join is Wednesday at midnight. Good luck!

    • Please join the Cosmetology Dept. today and tomorrow for our St. Patrick's Day Salon Day, giving our students the opportunity to utilize the practical skills they have mastered. We are providing services from 10:00 - 3:00 cash and checks accepted.

    • Congratulations to Brian Minnick, Madden Moore, Zhiyuan Li and Rohan Parikh for winning 1st place at the LCPS Regional Science and Engineering Fair. Also, congratulations to all Academy students who won an award or scholarship at the fair. Lastly, thank you to all 82 Academy students who participated at RSEF this year, you all did great!     • Academies students presented their original scientific research at the Virginia Junior Science & Humanities Symposium at JMU on March 15. Congratulations to Madden Moore for receiving 1st place and Nicole Seman for recieving 3rd place. Both students qualify to participate in the National JSHS held on April 24 - 27, 2019 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

    • Attention Student Drivers. Concerns have been expressed regarding students driving in an unsafe manner at the end of the school day. This includes speeding in parking lot and entry road. The administrative team and Sheriff's Department will be closely monitoring the situation. Any student observed speeding or driving unsafe will immediately have their parking permit revoked.
