    • Interested in learning how to code in Python? Girls Who Code is hosting a python workshop for beginners this Thursday, October 28th in room 1412. Join Girls Who Code at 1 pm every Thursday to get access to computer science internships, volunteering, and workshop opportunities! We are a supportive community for girls interested in CS and all levels of experience are welcome!

     

    • Stop by the School Store now through November 12th and buy an Awareness Apparel t-shirt to support Loudoun Hunger Relief. All proceeds will be donated to the charity.

     

    • Trick or Trash! Did you know over 600 million pounds of candy are purchased every year? Green Earth club would like you to help us recycle the wrappers and reduce waste going to landfill by collecting your candy wrappers through the middle of November. The collection box is located on the circulation desk in the research library.

     

    • Your SCA wants you to help us celebrate International Gaming Week November 8th - 12th. From sidewalk chalk to board games to trivia, join us for some lunchtime fun all week.

     

    • Attention Juniors and Seniors: Want to learn more about what it would take to get an internship at a top government contractor AND a top level security clearance? ManTech International will be at the Academies on Wed 10/27 and Thurs. 10/28 at lunch to share just how you can do that! Join us in the Auditorium!

     

    • Do you want to be all that you can be and serve your country? Find out if military service is for you on Thursday 10/28 during lunch when the US Army will visit the Academies in the main foyer outside the Auditorium.

    • If you’re interested in learning about space-related phenomena or networking with people who share the same interests as you, join the Astronomical Society for the opportunity to strengthen interpersonal skills, work in research committees and on club-wide projects, interact with guest speakers, and add something fun and applicable to your résumé. Our first meeting is on October 25th during lunch in room 2315, which is Dr. Crowe’s room on the second floor. Everyone is welcome to join!

     

    • Attention seniors - are you in the process of writing your college application essays? Are you struggling to come up with ideas or want feedback on what you've written? Join us for a virtual presentation from John Hopkins University on Monday, October 25th during lunch in Auditorium A or use the link from the fliers to join the zoom meeting.

    • The Career Workshop Series continues with Liz Henry, Senior Software Release Manager at Twitch in San Francisco. Liz will share her love computer games, making, hacking and her career path! Join us Friday October 22nd during lunch in ROOM 2408.

     

    • Aspiring Medical Professionals of Loudoun Club, we have a meeting today in room 2425 during lunch at 1:00 pm. We hope to see you there!

     

    • The computer science honor society will be having its first B-day meeting in room 2312 during lunch on Friday October 22. If you are not a member yet, you are welcome to come and sign up.

     

    • Show us your school spirit! Join us for pajama day on Monday and Tuesday October 25th and 26th and Spooky dress or Costume day on Wednesday and Thursday October 27th and 28th.     Want a great education while staying fairly close to home? Learn more about University of Mary Washington on Wednesday, October 20th during lunch in Auditorium A.

    The Minecraft club is for ACL students to have fun playing Minecraft solo, with other students, or in club events. Students can play any version of Minecraft and do not need to pay for an account. The Minecraft Club is meeting today during lunch in Mr. Cool's room, room 1202.
