Greetings!
My name is Lee MacMillan, and I love being a part of the Seneca Ridge community!
I grew up in the suburbs of Portland, Oregon, where I attended Portland State University for my undergraduate degree and Lewis & Clark College for my Masters in Education. I recently finished my endorsement for Gifted and Talented Instruction through UVA. I have taught a variety of disciplines including English, Speech & Drama, and Gifted & Talented, both in the U.S. and abroad. Additionally, I taught and managed the Swing-Shift Options School, an alternative program for at-risk middle school students.
My role here at Seneca Ridge is twofold. I am currently the Level Up coordinator, an in-school and after-school STEM program for sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students who attended the Edge/Propel programs at their elementary school. I also run the STEM/STEAM Lab, where students can investigate a specific science, technology, engineering, or math-related concept, such as robotics, coding, 3-D printing, or engineering throughout the school year.
For more information, please visit your student's Schoology page for Level Up or email me here.
