West Virginia University
Ms. Haas is a "career switcher". Some of the businesses & organizations she has worked for include:
the Virginia Cooperative Extension Service;
West Virginia Department of Welfare; and,
my family's apple orchard business.
Bachelor of Science degree from West Virginia University in Family and Consumer Science. Minor in Journalism.
Master of Science degree from Virginia Tech in Career and Technical Education. That makes me a "Hokie-neer".
I am a National Board Certified Teacher in CTE-FACS.
I am a Writing Consultant with the Northern Virginia Writing Project housed at George Mason University.
I use the FCCLA curriculum as well as the FEA competitive events within my classes in order to provide my students experiences from the youth organization affiliated with Family and Consumer Sciences.
