Degrees and Certifications:
This is my 10th year with Loudoun County Public Schools and my 3rd year at Trailside Middle School! I am the instructional specialist for 7th grade Science, 8th grade Science as well as the School Within a School Program (SWS). I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Western Governors University. I am currently pursuing a Masters in Special Education from George Mason University. My background in education is extensive with students that have exceptional needs, ranging from ages Pre-K to Middle School aged students.
I am the proud mother of a sweet and energetic 2.5-year-old son named Brooks. Besides spending time with family and my son, when I do have extra time, I love to go Kayaking, Hiking and going to the beach, while practicing social distancing. My travel bucket list includes the "7 Wonders of the World." I created my own list and have been to 4 out of the 7 and cannot wait to start planning for next year!
In this life, there isn't anything else I would rather do than teach. I truly enjoy developing lasting relationships with students and becoming a positive influence in their life. Watching students make progress, grow, and develop is what I enjoy the most.
Please feel free to contact me with questions or concerns! I hope everyone has a wonderful 2020-2021 school year!
