Welcome to my page, parents and students!

I graduated from Princess Anne High School in Virginia Beach in 1999. After taking the long road through college, I finally got my Bachelor's degree in political science from George Mason University. I like school so much, I went back and got my Master's degree in international relations from Old Dominion University.

This is my first year at this Freedom High School (I taught at the other Freedom High School in Woodbridge, too!).

I love my dog Banjo, my soon to husband Andrew, and hanging out at our home near the river. I have been in a few bands, most recently a 90s cover band, where I sang, and played guitar and piano. I also enjoys reading, cooking, and hiking.

My schedule is pretty hectic this year! I am the content teacher for US/Virginia Government and World History and Geography II. I also help ELL students in Algebra I and Earth Science. Thanks to Ms. Schlizter's help, I can now confidently say that I am a math person! I am happy to help any of my students with any of their classes, as I pretty much teach all of them. Please let me know if you would like extra help!

    Let's have an awesome year!

"Master has given Dobby a Sock!"

(This is a picture my sister took of me and my dog one Halloween. We dressed him up as Dobby from Harry Potter. On the piece of paper, we wrote, "Master has given Dobby a sock!")
