• Ms. Sheetz is new to Tuscarora High School this year. She graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and teaching certifications in Secondary English and K-12 ESL. She earned her Master's Degree in Reading Instruction and Curriculum Design from Shenandoah University. This year is her 14th year in Loudoun County Public Schools and her 19th year in high school education.

Ms. Sheetz served as the Literacy Coach at the Loudoun County Juvenile Detention Center for the past three years, which have been the best of her long career thus far. Prior to teaching at JDC, Ms. Sheetz opened John Champe High School as its first Reading Specialist; and before that, she was a 9th grade English teacher for seven years in Loudoun at Park View High School and five years in Fairfax at Falls Church High School. Througout her career, she has served as Lead Mentor, Teacher Mentor, GED Teacher, and Head Cheerleading Coach. She truly enjoys helping young adults develop their reading skills and their personal love of reading.

Ms. Sheetz enjoys spending time with her family and friends, coaching cheerleading, swimming, going to the pool and the beach, reading, baking, and watching sports: especially football.  She is honored to be working side by side with Mrs. Valerie Rife and with Husky Nation!
