• Ms. Sheetz is in her 4th year at Tuscarora High School. She graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and teaching certifications in Secondary English and K-12 ESL. She earned her Master's Degree in Reading Instruction and Curriculum Design from Shenandoah University. This year is her 17th year in Loudoun County Public Schools and her 22nd year in high school education.

Before coming to Tuscarora, Ms. Sheetz served as the Literacy Coach at the Loudoun County Juvenile Detention Center for three years, which have been the best of her long career thus far. Prior to teaching at JDC, Ms. Sheetz opened John Champe High School as its first Reading Specialist; and before that, she was a 9th grade English teacher for seven years in Loudoun at Park View High School and five years in Fairfax at Falls Church High School. Throughout her career, she has served as Lead Mentor, Teacher Mentor, GED Teacher, and Head Cheerleading Coach. She truly enjoys helping young adults achieve Graduation requirements and develop their reading skills and their personal love of reading.

Ms. Sheetz enjoys spending time with her two daughters (who are both future Huskies), her Labrador Retriever, and friends; swimming, going to the pool and the beach, reading, cooking and baking, and watching sports: especially football.  She is honored to be working side by side with Mrs. Katy Schain and with Husky Nation!
