Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Wendy Melnikoff
Welcome to Family Life Education (FLE)! I am very excited to be part of Belmont Ridge Middle School. As a Family Life Education Specialist, I teach 6th, 7th and 8th graders at various middle schools throughout the county. I am looking forward to working with students, parents and staff.
I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from the University of Maryland and have completed graduate course work at the University of Virginia, George Mason University and Shenandoah University. Having previously taught in Prince William and Fairfax Counties, this is my 28th year teaching and my 15th year in Loudoun County. Prior to teaching FLE, I taught Family and Consumer Sciences for 20 years and have been teaching FLE for the past 7 years.
One of my goals in middle school has always been to help students develop a strong self-efficacy. This helps them be successful. The belief that they can succeed will lead them to making better choices in life.
