Frau Beth Schuster

Frau Schuster is excited to join the staff here at Willard Intermediate School, where she will be teaching German 1. She will also be teaching German 1, 2, and 3 at John Champe High School.

Frau Schuster previously worked as an archivist, most recently as the corporate archivist at Marriott International. She also worked at the Thomas Balch Library, the Smithsonian National Anthropological Archives, and the United States Holocaust Museum Archives.

Frau Schuster grew up in Missoula, Montana, where she graduated from Hellgate High School! She earned a BA with a double major in History and German from the University of Oregon (Eugene). During her years at UO, she spent a year at the Universität Tübingen in southern Germany. Frau Schuster also earned an MA in History and an MLS with a specialization in archival administration from the University of Maryland.

In her free time, Frau Schuster enjoys watching hockey -- both her 9-year-old and the Washington Caps -- singing with the Fairfax Choral Society, and watching German TV dramas like Die Bergretter and Der Bergdoktor.
